It's...I completely and whole-heartidly agree... It's an amazing album of song writing, experimentation and genre crossing. PLUS, you are right..production wise it's genius. I WISH bands and current music was this playful.. Glad you are also a fan of them. A...I thought I was the only one who loved Starbuck! A Fool in Line is my favorite track, but the rest of the album is pretty strong (with the exception of Little Bird and Rock 'N Roll Rocket, IMO). Rock 'N Roll Rocket is arguably the best Starbuck album--Brucey's masterpiece.
